Audley Burns Chisholm

“Chizzy”, as he is warmly referred to, was greatly influenced by the church and gospel choir. His natural born talent led him to complete his formal training at Samuels Music Institute, as well as vocal training using the Seth Riggs Method.  He eventually gravitated toward guitar, bass guitar, and drums. The real classroom proved to be live jam sessions with other musicians, self-instruction and pure experimentation.

Never limited to one genre of music, he flows like a calm river between R&B, Jazz and of course reggae music.

The word spread quickly and soon enough Chizzy was sharing the stage with some of the world’s most gifted singers: Alye Woodson, Shondozia, Jerry Bell, Howard Hewitt, Monifa, Randy Crawford, UB40, Third World, Arrested Development, OAR, Kymani Marley and the great Isaac Hayes just to name a few.  Like an old friend, the best names in reggae have continually invited him to record and perform with them.  They included such household names as Shaggy; Maxi Priest: Combination; Shabba Ranks:  Ras Shiloh; Mickey Dread; Toots & The Maytals; The Wailing Souls; Big Mountain, including the albums Cool Breeze, New Day and Cover in Paradise; Steele Pulse and Benjy Myaz.  These reggae trailblazers undoubtedly trust the talent and integrity that he possesses. Chizzy also appears on the 2003 Mo’ Rogers’s album Continental Blues: Live in Parris.  He has a gift to make those who sound good, even better.  The fusion of his talent with others has been heard worldwide. The result—pure magic.

Currently, Chizzy is the lead guitarist for the world famous reggae band “The Wailers”.  He has many international music tours and festivals to his credit including Maxi Priest Asia Tour, St. Kitts Music Festival, The Wailers Uprising Tour, TEVA Spirit of Unity World Tour, Bob Marley Day Celebration, Reggae on the River, Mo Rogers European Tour, Big Mountain Worldwide Tour including Japan, House of Blues Comedy Tour with Eddie Griffin, Reggae Madness Tour and so on.

Chizzy is a true ambassador of music. From the white sands of the Caribbean, to the desert sands of Africa, encompassing every other continent in between—he spreads a positive message through his music.
