Alex Grossi

MOOER QUOTE: - "From the first time I plugged in my first batch of MOOER pedals, I knew I was dealing with a full blown game changer - These things are the real deal, and in my opinion the future of stomboxes all around. I have been given every pedal to "try" and they never deliver on every level (touring/studio/home recording/durability...etc)...... Mooer does, and then some. - ALEX GROSSI / QUIET RIOT 2017

“Alex Grossi is the most gifted young guitar player I have heard since the first time I heard Randy Rhoads in 1975” – Kevin DuBrow / QUIET RIOT

ALEX GROSSI has been called one of the hardest working and most sought after rock guitarists in the country. Upon finishing high school in 1996 he immediately left small town Connecticut for the bright lights of Boston and hasn’t looked back since.

In 1999 he inked his first recording deal with ATLANTIC RECORDS with the Boston-based pop rock band ANGRY SALAD. In support of the record the band did over 1000 shows across the country, the band also recorded music for the QUINCY JONES produced movie “The Smokers”, did multiple television appearances and recorded the theme song for the WB NETWORK drama series “DC”.

In 2001 when the AOL/TIME-WARNER merger cost the band their deal, Alex packed up and headed to Hollywood where within weeks was chosen by ELEKTRA RECORDS out of over 75 L.A. area guitarists to be the lead guitarist and musical director for one of their new artists AIMEE ALLEN. The band toured and recorded for the better part of 2002.

In early 2003 Alex joined up with Hollywood rockers BEAUTIFUL CREATURES replacing the recently departed DJ ASHBA. Almost immediately Alex began writing and recording what would become BC’s second record “DEUCE” for JVC RECORDS (Japan) and SPITFIRE/BMG (U.S.). Music from that record would later be used in the FX series “SONS OF ANARCHY” (2008) as well as the WALT DISNEY film “THE PROPOSAL” (2009).

Later that year, the Orange County hardcore band IGNITE recruited Alex for an extensive tour which saw the band covering the U.S, Canada, Europe, South America and Australia, he also contributed guitar the band’s critically-acclaimed 2006 release “Our Darkest Days” on Century Media Records.

In 2004, Alex was hand picked by Kevin DuBrow to fill the guitar slot in QUIET RIOT. For the next 3 years Alex toured extensively with the band, playing some of the premier rock festivals of the genre including the 2007 SWEDEN ROCK festival, and a feature performance at the first-annual “ROCKLAHOMA” as well as writing songs that would appear on the bands last studio release with DuBrow, 2006′s “Rehab”.

Alex spent 2008 and 2009 touring and recording with with GN’R alumni STEVEN ADLER and DIZZY REED for their respective solo projects and also participated in the 2009 PRS road show for PAUL REED SMITH guitars. The 20-plus city tour featured Paul himself, along with Nick Cantanese of Black Label Society, Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge and Howard Leese of Heart among many others.

In 2010 Alex rejoined QUIET RIOT after a 3 year hiatus. The band performed to nearly 50,000 fans at the 2011 BANG YOUR HEAD Festival in Germany and has been actively touring and recording since. In 2014 QUIET RIOT released the award winning documentary "Well Now You're Here, There's No Way Back" - The film went on to earn multiple awards, was in active rotation on SHOWTIME for over 2 years and landed a premier slot at the Cannes film festival in France.

In addition to doing sessions for artists all over the world, Alex has also been writing and recording with his other projects “BEAUTIFUL CREAUTRES” and "MAPS TO THE HOLLYWOOD SCARS" Featuring AMERICAN IDOL finalist "JAMES DURBIN. In early 2017, the band's first single "Till Death" was premeired on YAHOO MUSICand quickly started getting airplay on Active Rock stations all over the country.
